The Pentair Pentek 166201 Big Clear is a 20-inch heavy duty filter housing with a 1-inch NPT connection, designed for whole house and high-flow water filtration applications. The clear SAN (styrene acrylonitrile) sump provides visual monitoring of cartridge condition and water flow, allowing you to assess filter life at a glance without opening the housing.The housing accepts all standard 20-inch x 4.5-inch Big Blue and heavy duty filter cartridges, including sediment, carbon, and specialty options. A 1-1/2-inch internal port supports high flow rates up to 20 gpm with only 1 psi pressure drop. The built-in pressure relief button allows safe depressurization before cartridge changes.Construction consists of a reinforced polypropylene cap and SAN sump with a Buna-N o-ring seal. Overall dimensions are 23.22 x 7.28 inches. The housing is rated for operating temperatures of 40-100 degrees F and a maximum pressure of 90 psi.
