Installed on your main 1-inch line, it reduces chlorine taste and odor along with sediment before water reaches your faucets, showers, and appliances, helping protect your plumbing and equipment.The clear heavy-duty Big Blue housing lets you see the cartridge so you know when to change it, and the 1-inch valve-in-head cap with quick-change bypass lets you swap cartridges without turning off the main water supply. The system includes the clear housing, a TO8 radial-flow carbon cartridge, an OW50 housing wrench, and the BF35MB mounting bracket with screws.The BF36C is tested and certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for chlorine taste and odor reduction. It runs at 30 to 100 psi and 40 to 100 degrees F at 4 gpm. The 25-micron TO8 cartridge provides up to 40,000 gallons; replace it about every 3 months, or sooner if you notice a drop in water pressure or quality.
